New DC Comics Stuff at The SM Store

Remember this post? Well, this is what it's all about.

The SM Store and Pacific Licensing Studio recently unveiled Justice League: Heroes United @ The SM Store. This store-wide program will feature merchandise designs based on characters from DC's New 52. For those not in the know, the New 52 is the current, rebooted universe of DC Comics, where our favorite characters all got a fresh start that included new looks and character biographies. So don't be surprised to see Superman without his trademark red briefs-- he's finally learned the proper way of wearing one is in his pants.

Some people usually think "It's for kids" when they see "Superhero", but that's just not the case. Superheroes  in general are universal in their appeal and The DC merchandise at SM is no diffrent. The products are not geared exclusively towards children, but for adults, as well, looking to express their inner geek.

WANT. Especially if there's a Wonder Woman or WW X Supes design. Justice League Bedding Set by Canadian.

The products of this program will extend to more than 80 key product offerings --for children and adults alike, both male and female-- that include clothing, footwear, bags; home ware and bedding; toys and gift items, as well as personal hygiene stuff among others.

I was lucky enough to see some of the new merchandise during a preview they held last month.

There were shirts, bags, shampoos, shoes and a bunch of other stuff. I really like some of the sneakers and slip-on shoes from World Balance. The sneakers kinda look like the DC Chuck Taylors and the slip-ons like Vans. I was told they're going to be much more affordable.

Launched recently in 48 SM malls nationwide, the Heroes United program features extensive in-store branding. You'll know there are DC merchandise in the area when you see the Heroes United poster. There will also be several promotions lined up, including a raffle draw which started May 1st and will run through June 30th.

Up for grabs are these prizes: A trip to Singapore to experience the first ever DC Super Heroes Cable Car ride with Augmented Reality technology; and a Sony PS4 Game Console with a free Injustice Gods Among Us game. All that's needed to participate is a purchase of PHP500 worth of DC Comics merchandise at The SM Store. Other activities lined up are cosplay events, celebrity engagements and contests that will take place this June.

So if you are a DC fan looking for some great and affordable stuff, do check out the Justice League: Heroes United @ The SM Store. I know I will again.
